On November 13, HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg and Chékéba Hachemi were the special guests of Béa Ercolini for a conference held at TheMerode on the theme of rape as a weapon of war.
Highlighting the Work of Stand Speak Rise Up!
During this event, the speakers presented the concrete actions led by Stand Speak Rise Up! on the ground, emphasizing the critical importance of promoting positive masculinity and educating young people to prevent sexual violence worldwide.
Chékéba Hachemi shared a poignant testimony about the tragic situation of women in Afghanistan, while HRH the Grand Duchess reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to supporting Survivors and combating this global scourge, which sadly remains a pressing issue today.
A Special Thanks to Those Who Were Mobilized
This event brought together a diverse audience, including ministers, elected officials, members of parliament, legal professionals, media, business leaders, and NGOs. Among the attendees were Jean-Louis Thill, Luxembourg’s ambassador to Belgium, Marie-France Botte, Brigitte Dreyfuss, Cécile Jodogne, Viviane Teitelbaum, and many others.
