THE PROJECT
Stand Speak Rise Up!’s Women Empowerment Project is designed to restore voice and agency to Survivors of sexual violence, particularly in conflict and crisis settings. Too often, these women are silenced, their experiences diminished, and their potential overlooked. This project aims to transform their lives by offering a genuine and lasting opportunity for change.
By providing training in project management, team leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, economic development, women’s empowerment, and psychosocial support, we enable Survivors to regain control of their future. This is not just a mentorship program; it is a true pathway to empowerment and independence. Participants gain essential skills that help them not only express their stories but also lead and inspire within their communities.
The project includes meaningful exchanges with mentors and renowned academics, creating a nurturing environment for learning and personal growth. Survivors become the authors of their own stories, using their new skills to initiate change and lead impactful projects.
Every component of the Women Empowerment Project is designed to create deep and lasting impact. Practical workshops, individual and group mentorship sessions, and collaborative initiatives help Survivors build confidence, expand their networks, and engage in actions that bring positive change to their communities—while also enabling them to share their lived experiences and the suffering they have endured.
